3. HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY

The meeting considered the recommendations of the Norfolk Rural Community Council arising from the survey. This was for 8 houses, ranging from 2 x 2-bed houses for rent, to 3 x 3-bed houses for shared ownership.

The meeting AGREED in principle to proceed with measures to meet this need, and suggested areas of land where the Exceptions Policy would apply and landowners could be approached. The Clerk would contact the Housing Enabling Officer at Broadland District Council with these suggestions, and seek advice on the next steps.

The Clerk would seek a reason for non-inclusion of 1-bed properties in the recommendation, and ask if it might be feasible to convert old 3 or 4-bed Local Authority houses in to flats.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 8.20pm.
